The Kapurthala police arrested two men with a stolen mobile phone and cash which they had snatched from a delivery boy on April 1.

Charanjit Singh, resident of Adnawali, at Fattu Dhinga in Kapurthala, had said he worked as a delivery boy in a company. On April1, while he was heading to village Sandhu Chatthe, two men on a motorcycle, threatened to injure him with a sharp-edged weapon and snatched his mobile phone and Rs 18,693 from him.

A case under Sections 307 and 3 (5) of the BNS was registered against the snatchers at his complaint.

Acting on the information, ASI Amarjit Singh, chowki in-charge, Kala Sanghian, arrested two men Jaswinder Singh and Lakhvir Singh, both resident of Eeda at Nakodar, and recovered the mobile phone, Rs 2,500, a knife and a bike from them.
