To inspire innovation and tackle pressing societal challenges, the Department of Student Research and Projects at Lovely Professional University (LPU) hosted season III of ‘Gear-Up Hackathon’, in which 250 teams participated.

During the event, innovators come together to develop new approaches and solve problems within specific periods of time.

The teams competed under two categories during the event — software solutions and hardware solutions. Each team comprised six members, eac, who possessed diverse skills and expertise.

Over 36 hours, the participants worked intensively on developing their prototypes, with the top 30 teams advancing to the national-level competition.

The internal hackathon serves as a gateway to the Smart India Hackathon, an initiative led by the Government of India.
