28 schools of Kapurthala to be closed for two days

As many as 28 government schools of Kapurthala will remain closed on September 11 and 12.

DC Amit Kumar Panchal said Government High School (GHS)-Baupur Jadid, Government Middle School (GMS)-Mand Inderpur, GHS-Amritpur Rajewal, GHS-Lakh Wariah, GMS-Baja, GHS-Pandori, GMS-Chakoki, GMS-Miani Bakarpur, GMS-Hambowal, GMS-Malakpur, GMS-Hussainpur, GMS-Bhet, GHS-Kala Sanghia Girls, Government Primary School (GPS)-Chiragwala, GPS-Kamewala, GPS-Kothe Kala Singh, GPS-Kothe Cheta Singh, GPS-Lakh Waria, GPS-Ahli Khurd, GPS-Baupur, GPS-Nurowal, GPS-Mullakalan, GPS-Muktramwala Spruce Randhirpur, GPS-Dhakaran, GPS-Kuka, GPS-Mand Sardar Sahib Wala and Spruce Tajpur will remain closed for two days.

He said the order has been made keeping in mind the safety of children.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
