According to police, several labourers were seated on the roof when the truck flipped, causing the heavy cargo to fall on them. Two victims died on the spot, while a third succumbed to injuries at the hospital.

Emergency responders from the Road Safety Force transported the injured to a nearby hospital. The driver, who survived, said the load shifted violently after the bump, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Police have launched an investigation, citing overloading and speeding as possible causes.
