3 NCC officers promoted

The Annual Associate NCC Officers’ Conference was held at the 2 Punjab NCC Battalion on Tuesday, bringing together Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) from 25 educational institutions. The conference focused on discussions around upcoming NCC examinations, Army attachment camps, dress allowance for cadets, electronic bank transfers of refreshment allowances and refresher courses for officers.

During the event, three NCC officers were promoted. Third Officer Pawan Kumar from Government Senior Secondary School, Samray Jandiala; Third Officer Deepika Dua from Government Senior Secondary School, Gakhal Dhaliwal; and Third Officer Dharmendra Kumar Meena from Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 3 were elevated to the rank of Second Officer. This promotion comes after three to four years of dedicated service in the NCC. The officers will now attend a mandatory refresher course at the Officer Training Academy in Gwalior or Madhya Pradesh.

The conference was chaired by Col Vinod Joshi, Commanding Officer of 2 Punjab NCC Battalion, who emphasised that ANOs and Caretaker Officers are the backbone of the NCC.
