In a significant move to streamline law enforcement and improve public safety, the Kapurthala police have removed three unsanctioned police posts located at Phagwara Industrial Area, Kapurthala Urban Estate, and Badshahpur village. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gaurav Tura announced the decision during a conversation with The Tribune on Friday.

SSP Tura stated that the officers stationed at these unsanctioned posts have been reassigned to their respective police stations. This restructuring aims to enhance operational efficiency and maintain normal law and order while targeting anti-national and anti-social elements in the district.
