The Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, has been carrying out action against the unauthorised buildings for the last few days.

Today, three double-story residential under-construction units and one commercial unit was demolished by the building branch of the MC at Gulmohar City Extension.

A few days ago, building branch officials sealed 10 illegal commercial buildings in several parts of the city.

The illegal structures were sealed at Gulmohar City Extension, Guru Nanak Pura Market and Ladhewali Road.

Apart from this, a building situated on Ladhewali Road being constructed without approval was demolished.

Officials of the building branch said the drive against illegal structures would continue in future as well. Recently, the building branch had stopped development works on 100 marlas at Basant Hills on the Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur road as the developer had no Change of Land Use certificate.
