The district administration will organise ‘Hoshiarpur Nature Fest’ in collaboration with the Tourism and Culture Department of Punjab from March 1 to March 5.

During the five-day fest, people will be introduced to the immense possibilities of tourism in Hoshiarpur. Handicraft, sculptures, food stalls, stalls of self-help groups, kite flying, paragliding, hot air balloon, swings and cultural programmes will entertain people at the Dasehra ground.

Punjabi singer to perform on Day 1

Famous Punjabi singer Kulwinder Billa will entertain people on Day 1. Apart from this, camping, trekking, night live band at Nara Dam, off-roading from Kukanet to Dehriyan, eco huts at Thana Dam, high-speed boating, shikara rides, jungle safari at Chauhal Dam, speed boating, cafe zone, nature walk and activities such as Burma Bridge will also be organised.

Deputy Commissioner Komal Mittal, while taking stock of preparations for the fair, said the main gathering would be held at the Dasehra Ground. Apart from this, various activities would be organised for people at Nara Dam, Chauhal Dam, Thana Dam and Kukanet to Dehriyan track.

The Deputy Commissioner said Minister for Tourism and Culture Anmol Gagan Mann would inaugurate the fair on March 1. Famous Punjabi singer Kulwinder Billa would entertain people on Day 1. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rahul Chaba, Municipal Commissioner Jyoti Bala Mattu, DFO Nalin Yadav, SP Manoj Thakur, Assistant Commissioner Divya P, SDM Preetinder Singh Bains among others were also present on the occasion.
