Phagwara, November 17

As many as 517 students of Kamla Nehru College for Women, Phagwara, were conferred degrees on Saturday. Union Minister of State, Som Parkash, was the chief guest on the occasion. Principal Dr Kirana Walia, members of the management and staff welcomed the chief guest and his wife Anita Som Parkash.

Students of various streams like commerce, arts, science and computer science were conferred the degrees. The chief guest motivated the students to use their education for the upliftment of the downtrodden and to enlighten their surroundings.

Principal Dr Kiran Walia expressed gratitude to Som Parkash and other guests for gracing the occasion.
