Padma Shri Congress MLA Pargat Singh has accused the AAP government of pushing Punjab into an administrative crisis through sheer negligence. He said that three crucial sectors — veterinarians, power sector employees and mid-day meal workers — were currently engaged in strikes, yet the government remained a silent spectator.

Pargat demanded urgent dialogue, a fair resolution and a clear timeline to address the demands of all three sectors. He highlighted that thousands of veterinarians were on strike, putting animal husbandry and farmers’ livelihoods at risk. The PSPCL employees are agitating for their rights, causing electricity disruptions in several areas, and mid-day meal workers — responsible for providing meals to schoolchildren — are staging protests for fair wages and job security.
