As part of the state-wide campaign to strengthen rural link roads launched by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) State Spokesperson and Phagwara constituency in-charge Harnoor Singh (Harji) Mann inaugurated the construction of the Ranipur to GT Road via Madhopur–Chehru link road.

Speaking on the occasion, Harji Mann said that the 7.26-km-long road is being built at a cost of Rs 1.66 crore. He assured that construction work on the remaining link roads in the constituency would also commence soon.

Mann highlighted that 31 major rural roads covering a total of 101 km are currently under construction in the Phagwara constituency. He reiterated that the AAP government is committed to ensuring the all-round development of the region and emphasised that no area will be left behind in the progress drive.

Prominent among those present were JE Sachin Kumar, JE Gurpreet Singh, Daljeet Singh Timmy, Balvir Chand (Sarpanch, Jagpalpur), Gurmukh Singh, Jasvir Singh, Sukhdev Singh (Jagpalpur), Jatin Bangar, Colonel Singh, Gursharan Singh, Manjinder Raja and Lakhvir Mann.
