Phagwara police have arrested three members of a gang involved in a snatching incident in Raja Garden Colony on December 22. The arrests led to the recovery of stolen items, including a gold chain, a motorcycle, and weapons.

Phagwara SP Rupinder Kaur Bhatti identified the accused as Madhur Maggu, alias Nannu, a resident of Mohalla Beda in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar; Gurpreet Singh, alias Gaurav, a resident of Alachaur; and Aftab, alias Saurav, who resides on Shamshanghat Road in Phagwara.

The incident occurred when Harjit Kaur, a resident of Raja Garden Colony, was sitting outside her neighbour Saroj Bangar’s house. Two motorcycle-borne men approached her, brandished a sharp weapon, and snatched her gold chain before fleeing. A case was registered based on her complaint.
