During an interview, the actor had reportedly made some “objectionable” remarks against Lord Valmiki, following which protests broke out in parts of Punjab, including Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Amritsar. Members of the Dalit community even burnt the actor’s effigy a few days ago and staged a dharna against him.
