Officers interacted directly with patients undergoing treatment and listened to the challenges they face during recovery. As a gesture of goodwill, sweets were distributed to inmates and the officers assured full cooperation from the administration while motivating them to remain committed to de-addiction.

The administration also gathered information from patients regarding drug suppliers and distribution networks active in the region, noting that such inputs are crucial for tracking peddling operations and dismantling supply chains targeting vulnerable youth.

Senior officers urged the public to remain vigilant and report any information related to drug abuse, trafficking or illegal sale of intoxicants. Citizens can share information confidentially through the Punjab Government’s helpline and district control room numbers: 95929-14519, 99150-10200, 01824-262092 and 01824-260990.
