The procession was flagged off by Swami Pargat Nath, with Kamal Dhaliwal, son of Phagwara MLA Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, also present. Congress figures, including Punjab Congress general secretary Rajinderpal Singh Rana Randhawa, accompanied the yatra.
The shobha yatra passed through multiple towns, receiving an enthusiastic welcome from devotees and local leaders, who showered flowers and paid respects before the palanquin.
At Kartarpur, senior Congress leader Rajinder Singh and residents honoured Danny Bandala with a traditional turban, recognising his continued advocacy for the Valmiki community and social service.
Earlier, Bandala paid respects at the Valmiki Yog Ashram before leading the yatra. Swami Pargat Nath commended Bandala’s relentless commitment to community welfare and expressed hope for his ongoing service.
