Punjabi poets and writers paid glowing tributes to Punjabi poet Ajaib Kamal at annual Ajaib Kamal Yaadgari Kavi Darbar that was held at Dandian village near, Mahilpur, in Hoshiarpur district.

The event was marked by recitation of poems and ‘ghazals’ by poets and poems from his books ‘Main Jo Paigambar Nahin’, ‘Sarape samara de Paigambar’ and his newly published book ‘ Brehmand De Aar Paar’.

During the function, Dr Sukhvinder Singh Sangha of Khalsa College Jalandhar, who did a lot of research in ‘Kav Natak’ was awarded the 9th ‘Ajaib Kamal Award’.

The audience were apprised of that Ajaib kamal is one of founders of ‘Paryogsheel Movement’ of 1960 in Punjabi poetry and has written more than 50 books of Punjabi poetry, ghazals, novels, epics, plays inverse,(Kav Natak) and criticism.

They were also told that Ajaib Kamal was given ‘Lifetime Achivement Award’ by Khalsa College, Mahilpur during Two day International Ppunjabi conference organised by the college.

Dr Amarjit Singh, Dr Jagtar Singh Kot Fatuhi, Prof Sandhu Warianvi, Resham Chitrkar, Amarjit Kaur Amar, Preet Neetpur, Ranjit Posi, Sukhdev Nadalon, Mohan Artist, Charandeep Singh and Jaskiran Kaur were also present on the occasion.
