The Jalandhar Commissionerate Police arrested two key members of the Lawrence Bishnoi-Goldy Brar gang following a hot chase and encounter on Wednesday morning near Wadala Chowk. The accused were caught with four illegal firearms, live cartridges and a vehicle.

The clash occurred when the gang members, reportedly planning a major crime in Jalandhar, opened fire on the police team as they attempted to arrest them. The police retaliated, injuring one of the accused with bullet wounds to his leg, while the second was arrested during an attempted escape.

Jalandhar Police Commissioner Swapan Sharma confirmed the arrests, saying, “The accused are linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and were wanted in previous cases. We are investigating the possibility of their involvement in larger criminal activities.”

Both suspects were transported to the civil hospital for treatment. Initial investigations suggest the duo had been plotting a major crime in the city. Police officials said further information will be revealed soon once their medical treatment concludes.
