The Kapurthala unit of the Punjab Vigilance Bureau commenced its Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, under the directives of the Chief Director, Vigilance Bureau, Punjab, and SSP, Vigilance Bureau, Jalandhar Range, Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu. The event aims to raise awareness against corruption through various activities, with today’s highlights being an anti-corruption pledge ceremony and an awareness seminar.

The anti-corruption pledge ceremony took place in the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Kapurthala. Senior officials, including Satish Kumar (DDPO, Kapurthala), Anil Kumar (Superintendent Grade-1), Rajesh Kumar (Superintendent, Revenue), and Vikram Sharma (PA to DC, Kapurthala), alongside DSP Jatinderjeet Singh of Vigilance Bureau, Kapurthala, and employees from various branches, participated in the event.

In another key event, a district-level seminar on anti-corruption was held at LPU today.

SSP Rajeshwar Singh Sidhu, the chief guest, addressed attendees, emphasising the importance of vigilance in eradicating corruption. Notable attendees included ADC, Kapurthala, Varinder Pal Singh, SP, Phagwara, Rupinder Kaur Bhatti, DSP, Phagwara, Bharat Bhushan, Dr Saurav Lakhanpal, Executive Dean of the Welfare Wing, and Dr Pavittar Prakash Singh, Senior Dean at Lovely Professional University. Around 250 students joined the event to express their commitment to combating corruption.

DSP Jatinderjeet Singh administered the anti-corruption pledge and encouraged officials, employees and students to actively participate in maintaining transparency and integrity.
