The Punjab Government, in collaboration with the Government of India, will organise an apprenticeship fair at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, on October 4, to facilitate the youth who have industrial training skills by offering nearly 300 vacancies of apprentices.
Technical Education and Industrial Training Minister Rana Gurjeet Singh said the orders had been issued to organise these kinds of fairs at all Government ITIs across the state so that they would be able to avail the maximum benefits of state government initiatives of facilitating self employment efforts.
According to departmental officials, 296 vacancies to filled from ITI-passed applicants which includes 87 fitters, 46 welders, Painter 20, carpenter 24, mechanic 13 etc.
Students would be able to registered themselves on the spot apart from visiting the www.apprenticeshipindia.org portal. They can also deposit their applications along with required documents at concerned government ITIs in the state.
