Under the initiative ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’, a health awareness and medical check-up camp was organised at Headquarters 245 Bn CRPF Campus, Lidhran, on Saturday.

The camp was conducted in collaboration with Apex Hospital, Jalandhar, wherein Dr Gurpreet Kaur, gynaecologist, along with her medical team including staff nurses, carried out health check-ups of women personnel posted in the battalion. The kin of the personnel were also covered.

Brij Lal, Commandant; Sukhvir Singh Labana, Second-in-Command; and Velat Ram Dangi, Asstt Comdt of 245 Bn CRPF, welcomed the medical staff and all the participants of the programme. During the programme, participants were sensitised about the importance of women’s health, preventive care, nutrition, and overall wellness for a stronger family.
