Guests were warmly welcomed with floral greetings, followed by a melodious Shabad Gayan that set a serene tone for the event. The Chancellor then formally declared the convocation open.

In his welcome address, Vice Chancellor Dr Parmar reflected on the deeper meaning of convocation, urging students to view their degrees as symbols of hard work, dedication, and lifelong learning. He highlighted the pivotal role of education in shaping individuals, society, and the nation, noting that universities serve as pillars of progress, fostering global opportunities, peace, and innovation.

Dr Parmar shared that Sant Baba Bhag Singh University, established in 2014 under the Punjab Government Act No 6 of 2015 and recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC), holds the distinction of being Punjab’s first rural university. Accredited by NAAC, the university houses eight institutes dedicated to providing value-based and career-oriented education.
