A meeting of farmers was held under the aegis of Bharatiya Kisan Union at Bara Pind near Goraya on Monday.

Harnam Singh Dhesi presided over the meeting which was addressed by Bhartiya Kisan Union (Doaba) general secretary Satnam Singh Sahni and state vice-president Kirpal Singh Mussapur who strongly condemned the Phagwara Sugar Mill administration for not paying their dues of Rs 41 crore.

Sahni stated that the BKU will begin an indefinite dharna before the office of DC, Kapurthala, from August 22 over non-payment of their dues.
