Phagwara: The police have booked a villager on the charges of cheating, breach of trust and criminal intimidation. The accused has been identified as Sandeep of Aadramaan village. 'Drug peddler' arrested

Phagwara: The Mehatpur police have arrested a 'drug peddler' on the charge of selling intoxicating tablets. As many as 120 tablets were recovered from the possession of the accused Gurmeet Singh, alias Meeta, a resident of Umrewal village. A case has been registered against the accused. oc

Biker killed in accident

Phagwara: A young motorcyclist was killed on the spot when his bike was hit by a speeding tractor near village Darvesh on the Phagwara-Nakodar road on Sunday night. The tractor driver fled leaving the motorcyclist and the deceased behind in a pool of blood. The youth Dharmendra of village Atholi was brought to the local Civil Hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. The police have registered a case. oc
