Nakodar: The Mehatpur police seized 11 intoxicating injections, 3-gm heroin and 11 vials from two persons, including a woman, on Friday and arrested them. Investigating officers (IO’s), Labh Singh and Sarabjit Singh, said 3-gm heroin, 11 intoxicating injections and 11 vials were recovered from Paramjit Singh, a resident of Bir Pind village, and Indaro of Gounsuwal village. The IO’s said a case under Sections 21, 22, 61 and 85 of the NDPS Act had been registered against the accused.

In another incident, the Nurmahal police seized 70 intoxicating tablets from a person on Friday and arrested him. The suspect has been identified as Dipak Singh, alias Dipa, a resident of Jago Sanga. A case has been registered. OC
