The Jalandhar Police have busted a gang of burglars and arrested three of its members, who specifically targeted NRI properties and vacant houses, officials said on Sunday.

The police recovered substantial stolen property along with a vehicle used in the crimes.

The accused have been identified as Kuldeep Kumar and Sonu Kashap, both UP natives and currently residing in the district, and Parmeet Singh of Jalandhar.

SSP Harkamal Preet Singh Khakh said the gang employed sophisticated techniques, using specialised tools to break into locked houses during nighttime hours.

A case has been registered against the accused at Maqusdan police station.

The accused were produced before a local court and remanded to police custody for further investigation.
