Miscreants reportedly burgled the house and took away gold and silver ornaments worth lakhs in Friends Colony, Phagwara city, last night.

Parvesh Sahni told the police that he lives alone in his rented house and has a private job with a company at Phagwara. He explained that when he returned from work, he found his house ransacked and the lockers of his room broken. He told the police that the miscreants took away ornaments of his late mother.

He said the stolen ornaments include two gold chains, four ear-rings, two rings, two bangles, four silver bangles, a silver chain and a pair of silver ear-rings. The police have registered a case.
