Kapurthala: CJM-cum-secretary DLSA Ajit Pal Singh organised a camp court at Central Jail, Kapurthala, where he disposed of the cases while listening to the grievances of the undertrial accused. He also visited the legal aid clinic set up in the jail and evaluated the record of free legal aid provided to the prisoners/detainees. On this occasion, he directed the para-legal volunteers/staff on duty in jail to provide a separate file in the clinic regarding the free legal aid being provided to prisoners/ detainees at the legal aid clinic, so that the required proceedings to be made without any difficulty. He directed the Jail Superintendent to encourage the inmates and inmates under consideration towards sports, so that they could remain mentally and physically fit. Apart from Baljit Singh Ghumman, Superintendent, Narpinder Singh, Deputy Jail Superintendent, Parminderjit Singh, Para Legal Volunteer of Legal Services Authority Kapurthala, and other jail staff was also present.
