Jalandhar: The Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour at Ivy Public School. Principal Sanjeev Chauhan delivered a message of universal brotherhood. Twins Jazel Nandan and Jazika Nandan held the Tricolours in their hands as they presented a patriotic show. Teachers Mukta, Yasmeen and Suman supervised the event. “Let us honour the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters. The Constitution gives us rights as well as duties. Let us fulfill them with pride,” said Principal Chauhan in her message to the kids.

Jalandhar: Parakram Diwas was observed at Shiv Jyoti Public School as the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. A special morning assembly for Classes VI to VIII was conducted and students were made aware about this day by speech and poem on the philosophies and ideals of Netaji. Ditti of Class VII delivered a speech and poem was recited by Pihu of Class VI under the guidance of co-associate teachers of Kirti House Palvinder Kaur and Kalpana. Principal Parveen Saili motivated the students to believe in the teachings and philosophies of Netaji.

Soft Tennis Championship

Jalandhar: Mayor World School emerged triumphant with the performance of its students in the 10th Sub-Junior State Soft Tennis Championship (Boys/Girls), held under the auspices of the Amateur Soft Tennis Federation of India at Satluj Tennis Academy, Ludhiana, on January 18 and 19. In the team event for boys, the team comprising students Kritagya Kaushal (IX-C), Medhansh Thapar (IX-C), Naman Sachdev (VIII-C), Krishiv Mehra (VIII-A), Vedant Sikka (VIII-B), Siddid Popli (IX-D), Maulik Mittal (VII-A), Dhruv Daver (IX-A), Shaurya Veer Vyas (VIII-A), Samr Bansal (V-C) and Harshan Singh (V-C) secured the first position with an impressive performance. The girls’ team including Ganeev Kaur (VI-D), Agamya Popli (VII-A), Shreya Bhaskar (IX-B), Mannat Kaur (VII-D), Arshi Chadda (VI-A), Nitya Mahajan (V-E), and Sehaj Preet Kaur (III-B) also bagged the first position with their zeal and zest.

Global Family Day

Jalandhar: JalandharSchool branches of St. Soldier Group organised a programme on Global Family Day. During this, students gave the message of human unity by forming a chain. This day was celebrated by the school principal and group staff. Its main objective was to spread mutual love and peace all over the world. On the occasion, Group Vice Chairperson Sangeeta Chopra said that the earth is a global family and we all should try to ensure that everyone on earth can live together without any fear.
