Participants carried candles and placards demanding strict punishment for the accused. Speakers at the event condemned the crime and urged the AAP-led Punjab Government to ensure the accused is hanged, calling the case a reminder of the need for stronger deterrents against crimes targeting children.

Prominent figures who joined the march included Congress MLA from Phagwara Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Jai Bhim United Voice of Punjab founder Harjinder Singh Jakhu, BKU Doaba state press secretary Gurpal Singh Pala, BKU Rajewal leader Surinder Singh Darvesh and Computer Teacher Union Phagwara leader Ranjit Singh.

Leaders expressed their grief and solidarity with the victim’s family, appealing for justice and warning that such incidents could erode public trust if not dealt with firmly.
