The candlelight march saw the participation from people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life and it became a powerful display of unity and collective condemnation of terrorism. Holding candles, banners and placards denouncing terrorism, the participants walked to honour the memory of the victims, sending a strong message that such barbaric acts will not be tolerated in a civilised society.

Addressing a gathering, the MLAs expressed profound sorrow over the incident, describing it as one of the most brutal and inhumane acts of terrorism in recent times. “This cowardly and despicable attack is not only a crime against the victims but an assault on the values of humanity itself,” they said.

“Such heinous acts shake the conscience of every right-thinking individual and must be condemned in the strongest possible terms,” they said.

The MLAs emphasised that the perpetrators of this act, who have displayed complete disregard for human life, have no place in any society. “The cult of violence that breeds such hatred and cruelty must be uprooted from our midst. It is the moral responsibility of every citizen, regardless of religion, region, or ideology, to stand united against such forces of destruction,” they added.
