Hoshiarpur: Two persons snatched cash by putting chilli powder in the eyes of a street vendor and fled. Hariana police have registered a case. Kishan Lal told that he’s a street vendor and was selling golgappas at Kunta turn. He told that on Wednesday, two youths came to him on a bike and asked for water. When he was giving them water, the accused picked up red chilly powder from his rehri and put it in his eyes. The accused escaped by snatching his purse containing the cash from his pocket. The police has registered a case. OC

Smuggler held with injections

Hoshiarpur: During a naka in the area, the police of Mahilpur police station arrested a smuggler on Wednesday. After searching him, the police seized a 550 sedative injections from him. The accused has been identified as Skaruli, a resident of Hussain vilage. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act.
