Days after an Innova of a school owner was set afire outside his residence in Gill Colony, miscreants targeted another car parked at Tagore Nagar on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.

Someone took away a black leather bag containing cash and documents by breaking open the rear windshield of the car parked in the locality. The car belongs to a Bhajan Mandli, who had come to participate in a Bhajan programme which was being held in one of the houses in the locality.

SHO Division Number 5 said after receiving the information, the police reached the spot. He said they have procured the CCTV footage from the cameras installed nearby and recorded the statements of the witnesses present at the spot. However, the owner of the car is yet to file a complaint and has neither shared his statement nor other details. “Once the car owner gives his statement, we will start with the investigation,” he said.
