The National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Tuesday sought answers from MC officials regarding what steps being taken to manage waste in the city by them. Notably, the MC officials had a meeting with NGT wherein the Tribunal was told about the clearance of Chugitti dump and the efforts they would make to ensure that the chaos didn’t happen again.

As per the information, once MC officials cleared their points on the maintenance of the Chuggiti dump, the NGT further asked them if they were prepared to manage the waste in the entire city.

On Monday, senior officials of the Muncipal Corporation had visited the dump site wherein they said that CCTV camera were installed to keep eye on the offenders. Apart from this, it was claimed that saplings would be planted at the area and beautification would be done.
