Civil Surgeon Dr Balwinder Kumar Damana made a surprise visit to the Community Health Centre, Binewal, today to inspect facilities being provided to patients.

He took stock of the attendance of the staff deployed on duty. He reviewed the records of patients, stock of medicines and cleanliness. He instructed the staff to follow the rules meant for the disposal of bio-medical waste.

The Civil Surgeon asked the staff to keep a record of work and patients and to behave well with patients. He asked them to ensure the availability of essential medicines for patients so that they do not face any problem. He reviewed the health services provided under the Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme and said appropriate steps should be taken so that more patients admitted to hospitals could be covered under it and free and quality services could be provided to the patients. He said the Health Department is committed to providing quality health facilities to people.
