Deputy Speaker Jai Krishan Singh Rouri today reviewed the development works and benefits of welfare schemes from officials of various departments at the local District Administrative Complex. During the meeting, he directed that the pending development works should be completed as soon as possible.

Rouri along with Additional Deputy Commissioner Nikas Kumar, reviewing the development works related to the Garhshankar constituency, asked the officials to speed up the pace of the ongoing development works. He said it should be ensured that the beneficiaries of the government welfare schemes get the benefits in a smooth manner so that they can take due advantage of these schemes.

The Deputy Speaker while reviewing the works of the Rural Development and Panchayats and Water Supply and Sanitation Departments said along with regularising every mud house in the constituency, providing uninterrupted water supply to the people is also included in his priority areas.

Rouri asked the officials to prepare a detailed proposal for the development works to be done in various villages so that the necessary funds can be released for these and people can be provided with the necessary facilities. He said for the convenience of people, the issues related to the villages of Kandi should be resolved on priority basis and every basic facility should be provided in these areas.
