According to him, he was granted parole for 14 days on November 7. His leave was supposed to end on November 21. He fled from his home according to a pre-planned scheme. He said that he had previously obtained a passport whose validity expired on July 11, 2022. The accused told the police that due to the ongoing case against him, he could not renew his passport.

Following the advice of his associates, he went to Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh and managed to obtain a new passport by providing a false address in a village in Lakhimpur Kheri district.

He said that he reached Kolkata airport on December 1 to travel to Dubai. However, before he could leave, the immigration team apprehended him and handed him over to the Kolkata police. The Dasuya police have now registered a case against the accused for forgery and have initiated further action.
