Under the state government’s Mission Fateh programme, hundreds of volunteers from the Red Cross Society, Youth Services Department and NGOs on Friday took out an awareness campaign to apprise people of precautions to be taken for checking the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. It was held outside the Civil Hospital, Jyoti Chowk, Nakodar Chowk, Bhargo Camp, Boota Mandi, Paragpur and Jalandhar Cantonment localities. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
