The local unit of the CPM held a protest in front of the DSP Garshankar’s office with the support of local residents against the mining mafia, corruption and law and order situation in the area and raised slogans against the government.

Party district secretary and state secretariat member Gurnek Singh Bhajjal and state committee member and tehsil secretary Mahinder Kumar Badoan said the local area had now become a haven for the mining mafia, drugs were being sold openly in villages and in government institutions, corruption was increasing but the administration was turning a blind eye to this.

Other speakers Achar Singh, Neelam Baddoan, Surinder Kaur Chumbar, Harbhajan Atwal, etc. accused the police administration of not taking any action regarding the incidents of robbery and murder in the area and said there was a shortage of personnel in police stations but the ruling party leaders were escorted a large number of police personnel. On this occasion, the leaders gave a demand letter to the DGP through DSP regarding the demands of the area.

On this occasion Baldev Raj Satnaur, Sher Jung Bahadur, Prem Rana, Gurbaksh Kaur, Kashmir Singh, Rajinder Singh former sarpanch, Mahender Singh former sarpanch Purkhowal, Paramjit Chak Singha, Rakesh Kumar etc. were present.
