Representing India, Komal secured the silver medal in the overall 57 kg weight category and set a new world record in deadlift with 211 kg, surpassing the previous record of 210 kg. Her performance has brought immense pride to the institution and the nation.
Komal’s journey to this global achievement began in her childhood, when powerlifting first became her dream. Over the years, she has demonstrated discipline, focus, and persistence—qualities that have made her develop consistency and helped her to balance her academic responsibilities with along with sports training.
Since the time Komal joined CT Group, she has received professional guidance, structured training routines, fitness assistance, and constant encouragement from the faculty and the sports department.
Chairman, CT Group, Charanjit Singh Channi expressed pride in Komal’s accomplishment, saying that her world-record feat is a matter of honour. Sharing her emotions after achieving the world record, Komal said that fulfilling a lifelong dream at an international platform feels surreal.
