Cyclothon for ‘war on drugs’ to be flagged off on April 6

Fit Bikers Club Hoshiarpur has completed all preparations for Sachdeva Stocks Hoshiarpur Cyclothon Season-7 to be held on April 6. The information was given by club president Paramjit Singh Sachdeva during a meeting with members here.

He said that on Sunday at 7 am, Lok Sabha member Dr Raj Kumar Chabbewal, Deputy Commissioner Aashika Jain and SSP Sandeep Kumar Malik will jointly flag off the cyclothon. Sachdeva said that 350 cyclists from 55 different cities are going to participate in the cyclothon and its theme is ‘War against drugs’, which is a campaign started by the Punjab government.

Before the start of the cyclothon, a signature campaign against drugs will also be launched. He said that for this cyclothon, the cyclists will reach the main office of Sachdeva Stocks at six in the morning, where a programme will be presented by the special children of Asha Kiran Special School.

The cyclists will cover a distance of 100 kilometers from Hoshiarpur to Tanda-Chaulang and then return to Hoshiarpur. Paramjit Sachdeva said that a cheque for Rs 1 lakh 40 thousand will be handed over to the committee of Asha Kiran School on behalf of the club.
