DAV College win football tourney

DAV College, Jalandhar, has won the Guru Nanak Dev University Inter-College Football Tournament by defeating Lyallpur Khalsa College Jalandhar 1-0 in the final league match.

The intense match was decided by a solitary goal scored by Anmolpreet Singh in the 89th minute, courtesy an assist from Player of the Match Shivam Thakur. The winning goal capped off an impressive campaign for DAV College, Jalandhar, securing their top spot in the tournament.

This win will surely inspire our students to strive for excellence in their respective fields.”

He also mentioned that this is the second major achievement of the team this year as earlier the college team playing under the banner of the Kehar Sporting Club won the Punjab Football League Tier-2 Championship also. Principal Dr Kunwar Rajeev also congratulate the team, coaches, and staff for bringing pride to the institution through their hard work and dedication.
