Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Aggarwal on Friday conducted a quarterly inspection of the district-level electronic voting machine (EVM) warehouse at the district administrative complex. Accompanied by representatives from various political parties, Aggarwal assessed the safety and security protocols for the EVMs stored at the facility.

Expressing satisfaction with the security arrangements, the DC emphasised the importance of safeguarding these machines, which were crucial for the electoral process.

He said the warehouse was designated for the secure storage of reserved EVMs, which would be utilised as per the requirement during the upcoming elections as directed by the Election Commission of India.
