As per information, only 78 per cent of the project work has been completed so far, lagging behind the stipulated deadline. The delay has led to public inconvenience in several parts of the city, with dug-up roads, dust pollution and traffic congestion affecting daily life.

Taking serious note, the DC directed the ADC (General) to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the matter. The investigation will focus on assessing the current physical and financial progress, identifying reasons for the delay, examining any lapses on the part of the executing agency and reviewing monitoring efforts by the departments concerned.
