Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar Panchal has directed health officials to expedite the completion of three new Aam Aadmi Clinics under Phase 8 of the state’s flagship healthcare initiative.

Chairing a meeting of the District Health Society at the District Administrative Complex on Wednesay, the DC reviewed the progress of ongoing health projects and discussed the delivery of free healthcare services being provided by the Punjab Government.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Navneet Kaur Bal was also present during the meeting.

Emphasising the need for timely completion, the DC instructed Civil Surgeon Dr Harpal Singh to personally monitor the construction work and ensure that the clinics become operational as soon as possible. “The aim is to bring accessible and quality healthcare to people’s doorsteps,” stated Mr Panchal.

In light of the upcoming monsoon season, the Deputy Commissioner also instructed the health department to launch a district-wide awareness campaign on dengue prevention, urging coordinated efforts to educate the public and control the spread of the disease.

Several key officials attended the meeting, including Sanjeev Aggarwal, District Health Officer Dr Rajeev Parashar, DFPO Dr Ravjeet Singh, SMOs Dr Indu Bala and Dr Parminder Kaur, M&E Officer Ram Singh, DMEIO Sharandeep Singh, Sukhdayal Singh, DCM Priyanka and Executive Engineers from Construction Divisions 1 and 2 of PWD (B&R), Kapurthala.
