Fed up with the sewerage blockage, residents of Sangat Singh Nagar held a protest on the main road near Tagore Hospital today. The protest was against the Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar, for not doing anything to resolve the issue.

As they blocked the main road, it resulted in a traffic jam. After the police came to the spot, the residents lifted the dharna. They said they would intensity their protest if the MC don’t do anything.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
