DIG Jalandhar Range Dr S Boopathi along with Senior Superintendent of Police Surendra Lamba held a meeting with the district police officials in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections on Wednesday afternoon at the guest-house located in BBMB township of Talwara.

Immediately after , the DIG inspected the border check-points of Sansarpur Terrace, Ramgarh Sikri and Shah Canal Barrage along the border of Himachal Pradesh. He also inspected the CCTV cameras installed at these three check-points and the security arrangements. He warned the officials, station and police post in-charges that negligence in security arrangements will not be tolerated. While coming from Hoshiarpur to Talwara, he also inspected the Hariana police station and Dholwaha dam area on the way.

The DIG and SSP issued orders to thwart the infiltration of unwanted elements by conducting strict checking at every checkpoint and every barrier at every level in rural and urban areas.
