District Magistrate issues timings for bursting firecrackers during festivals

In the orders issued, the District Magistrate has fixed the days and timings for bursting firecrackers and fireworks in the district. She stated that bursting firecrackers before or after the designated hours will be strictly prohibited. Firecrackers can be burst from 8.00 am to 10.00 pm on Diwali, which falls on October 20, 2025. On Gurupurab, November 5, the allowed timings are from 4.00 am to 5.00 am and from 9.00 am to 10.00 pm. Similarly, on Christmas, firecrackers can be used from 11.55 pm to 12.30 pm between December 25 and 26 and the same timing will apply on New Year’s Eve, December 31.
The District Magistrate further clarified that the use of firecrackers will not be permitted within 100 meters of silence zones such as hospitals, educational institutions, courts, and religious places.
