District Magistrate Amit Kumar Panchal has fixed the time schedule of fireworks display on Diwali, Gurpurab, Christmas and New Year in Kapurthala district.

It has been made clear that there will be ban on bursting of firecrackers after or before the specified time.

On the occasion of Diwali on October 31, it’s from 8 pm to 10 pm, on Gurpurb, November 15, from 4 am to 5 am and on Christmas and the New Year eve from 9 pm to 10 pm and from 11.55 pm to 12.30 pm.

Apart from this, firecrackers will not be allowed within 100-metre radius of silence zones like hospitals, educational institutions, courts and places of worship, etc.

These orders will remain in force from October 30 to January 1, 2025.
