Dr MS Bhutani officially assumed the role of President of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Jalandhar for 2025 during a ceremony held at a private hotel on Wednesday night. Following his acceptance speech, Dr Bhutani installed the new IMA team, with key appointments including Dr Puja Kapoor as Secretary, Dr H-S Bhutani as Finance Secretary and Dr Harish Nanda as Press Secretary, among others.

The newly appointed team has set up various committees to ensure the effective functioning of the association. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including the chief guest, Dr Himanshu Aggarwal, DC Jalandhar and other notable figures such as Dr CS Pruthi (President, Punjab Medical Council) and Dr Jasmine Dahiya (Vice President, PMC).

A highlight of the event was the launch of the ‘IMA Booklet 2025’ by Dr Bhutani and DC Aggarwal. The ‘Bowls’ Healthy Recipe Book’, authored by Ayesha Bhutani, was also unveiled.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Bhutani outlined key initiatives for the upcoming year, including projects focused on girl child development, education, tree plantation, water conservation, pollution reduction and cancer awareness.

The event was attended by over 350 doctors from Jalandhar.
