Dr Gaurav Parashar, head of department (Mechanical Engineering) at Rayat Bahra Institute of Engineering and Nanotechnology, Hoshiarpur, has been ranked among the top 2 per cent scientists worldwide.

This recognition comes from a ranking released annually by Stanford University and Elsevier, which evaluates researchers across 22 fields and 176 sub-fields. Dr Parashar was honoured in the Materials category. Gurvinder Singh Bahra, chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group, congratulated him on the achievement.
